SCHEDULING YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE POSTS

Posting content often is a great way to keep your audience engaged and interacting with you, in turn growing your page.

Scheduling your Facebook Posts is a must. It will save you time if you sit down and ‘batch-process’ your Facebook Page growth regularly. I sit down once per week and schedule this out.

I find that the viral and trending posts need to be done on the fly (daily) but the sharing of content (yours and others’) can be done easily by sitting down with a paper schedule and desktop Facebook about once per week.

MAKE A LIST OF WEBSITES THAT YOU PLAN TO SHARE CONTENT FROM ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE

You want to make a list of websites with complementary content. Think about what your ideal customer or Facebook Fan would like to read more about. Share that.

You’re going to make this list just one time, so save it permanently, don’t just scribble it down and lose it. You can save it in your browser’s bookmarks, in a Google Sheet, Excel, or in your day planner or notebook.

Here are some examples for different types of businesses:

SOME EXAMPLES

  • if you have a food blog, share recipes from other blogs and websites alongside your own on your Facebook page
  • if you have a business related to social media, share Social Media Examiner, Mashable and other such content on your page
  • if you have a wellness or fitness business, share other fitness, healthy food, and healthy living content like recipes, tips and more, from other sites, on your page.
  • if you have a retail business selling baby clothing, share motherhood content, style posts, and baby memes to appeal to your target buyer.

Got it? Please come ask for suggestions or your questions in the Facebook Group!

OPEN ALL OF THESE WEBSITES IN DIFFERENT TABS

All of those websites you decided to share from, open them all up in different tabs in your browser window.

Now, you’re going to look for articles to share from those sites.

When you find one you’d like to share, copy the URL.

Use the short keys to speed things along when scheduling from these sites:

ON A MAC:

Command-C to copy
Command-V to paste

ON A PC:

CTRL-C to copy
CTRL-V to paste

FIND MEMES, QUOTES, & IMAGES YOU WANT TO SHARE

Open Google and search for memes, videos and funny images or links to share with your Page. Save them and be sure to record for yourself where you saved it from so that you can credit the source! (I just save the image with the name of the source.)

You can also scroll through your Facebook feed and see what’s popular, and save links right there.

I have noticed that since I have begun sharing a lot of baby videos, memes and humour posts, Facebook is showing me more of that. So Facebook is helping me find more of what I already want to see and share on my Page!

OPEN YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE

I don’t recommend third-party tools or sites for scheduling. I have read that Facebook doesn’t favour your posts if you use a third-party scheduler. You can use Facebook’s publishing tools to schedule posts and keep tabs on what you’ve already scheduled going forward.
