You may have noticed photographers tend to do really well on Instagram, because it’s such a visual platform, and they’re really great at creating visually appealing content! But you’re a business owner who is not also a photographer, what do you do? Do you ever struggle to figure out what to post every single day on Instagram? It’s important to have quality photography for Instagram, so I’ve pulled together five ways and tons of resources here for you to find content for you to post just remember to create a cohesive collection for your Instagram account, and …
always stay on brand.
Book a Brand Photoshoot
Hire a photographer to do a brand shoot for you. Hire someone with experience with your business type. If you’re a personal brand you’ll want a photographer great at taking lifestyle and headshots and remember to wear something that matches your branding so that it will fit well within all the other photos in your business. If you’re selling products, you need someone experienced in product photography with a studio space that can light everything well.
It may be worth it to hire a branding and design company to help you book the right type of photo shoot. My friends over at Natpark Collective do this type of work!
Use Free Stock Photography
Free stock photos can sure come in handy when you don’t have enough of your own photos. I personally use stock photography on Instagram all the time! I pay for a stock subscription (more on that below) but you can find plenty of quality images at these sites:
Use Quotes and Templates
Both Canva (free) and Creative Market (paid) offer endless amounts of quotes and other graphic templates for you to use or buy. Using one template and editing it over and over is an incredibly fast and simple way to stay on brand and yet have a large supply of images to post on Instagram.
Subscribe to a Paid Stock Photo Subscription
These subscriptions come out with new photos on a regular basis. They all work a little different, so be sure to check out their style and samples to see if they’ll match your branding before you buy.

Use Lightroom Mobile for Editing
Editing your photos for consistency’s sake will go a long way to presenting a cohesive grid on your Instagram account. If most of your photos are lifestyle with different backgrounds and/or people, you can make your photos more synergistic by editing them the same way every single time. Lightroom Mobile (by Adobe) is a free app that is very powerful for photo editing, AND you can buy preset edits from photographers to apply the same edits to each and every photo you want to post to Instagram.
You will find presets for sale at Creative Market, Etsy and photographer websites. You may also find some free ones by searching for them!
