Instagram Stories (without Face-to-Camera!)

Instagram Story posts are becoming more popular and more viewed than regular Instagram feed posts.

So if you’re a business on Instagram, and you want to grow and market your business there, you need to be using Instagram Stories for visibility!

My rule of thumb for ‘regularly’ is every 24 hours and 2-8 story posts a day.

“Every 24 hours” rule is so that you always have a story to be watched when someone visits your profile. The 2-8 is totally up to you. I like to do 3-6 over at @xoconniepeters (my ‘mom blogger’ account) and 1-3 at @helloconniepeters daily.

I know you’ve watched Stories where the owner of the account is often talking to the camera, or doing a lot of face-to-camera posts. I don’t like face-to-camera either. It’s intimidating, and I always wonder – “do my followers want to see that anyway?” … so here are 3 different ways you can share on Instagram Stories regularly … and simply …. so that you can connect with your ideal audience on Instagram.

SHARE YOUR FEED POST

When you post something new on your feed, tap the paper airplane/send icon below your post to ‘Share it’ and choose the first option, “Add post to your story”.

Then, add some fun graphics before posting it by tapping ‘Your Story’…

You can also share other accounts’ feed posts to your stories!

Find posts that your audience would resonate within your feed, and share it the same way you just shared your own post!

SHARE BEHIND THE SCENES #BTS and YOUR DAY

Post a few stories throughout the day of you at work, at play, doing what you do in your business.

SHARE GRAPHICS, QUOTES AND BRANDED TEMPLATES

I created several templates to use in my stories and you can too. Canva has a ton of different stories templates.
